A very common scenario in my clinic in Pakistan is when patient stop taken their medicine and go to hakeems or herbal treatment. They return to medical doctor when disease is advance and caused multiple deformities.
Patients should understand that it's a long term condition and you need to take medicine regularly with regular follow-up with doctor.
